Back in 2012 Toddman founded a not-for-profit organization called Instruments For Africa. IFA collects musical instruments and accessories and donates them to schools and community groups in different African countries, places where sometimes finding something as simple as a guitar pick can be almost impossible.
Over the years we have donated hundreds of instruments to dozens of schools in four countries, and in May, 2026 we’ll be returning to Zambia to revisit previous recipient schools and do our best to restock them with reeds, strings, and even some new (to them) instruments.
Instruments For Africa has partnered with Ottawa’s Musicare to purchase gently used concert band band instruments at heavily discounted prices. Each instrument we manage to donate to a school gets played by up to a dozen students per year, so in an instrument’s lifespan it can help over a hundred children enjoy the power of playing music!
Every dollar Instruments For Africa manages to raise between now and May 1st will go directly towards these instrument purchases. Please consider donating now and help to put another instrument into eager hands.

Hi Todd:
Your donation link doesn’t work but I want to donate. Call me when you can and we’ll figure something out thing out. Can I email you some $$?
Cheers
Jay
