Posted by One winter’s day I strapped a GoPro camera to my helmet and skated the entire 7.8km length of the Rideau Canal (AKA The World’s Largest Skating Rink). Unfortunately, after I had travelled about five kilometres the camera ran out of power robbing me of the most impressive leg of the journey, one that cuts through Ottawa’s downtown core in the shadows of some of the most impressive buildings in the city. You’ll have to take my word for it, or better yet go to Ottawa in February and try it yourself!
I recommend putting on some nice oozy-soothy music while watching this video. Perhaps some Kamasi Washington or Miles Davis or somethin’.
