In May, 2012 m’lady and I were astounded to be the sole witnesses to an epic giraffe fight at a deserted watering hole in Etosha National Park in Namibia. Unfortunately we only filmed the final minute of the battle, but it is still quite amazing to watch.
This is me taking the inaugural run down the first (and smallest) hill of the afternoon. The best part is when the guy filming says “poof” by chance at the very moment that I wipe out. And if you look really closely, I come out of my tumbling somersault on my feet like a gymnast landing a routine…

Back in the mid-’90’s I was part of a really interesting Ottawa freakrock band called Bob Loblaw. In 1996 we rented some recording equipment, set it up in the living room, and spent an intense week creating our only album – Monkey Do – which we released on cassette. For the record, Arrested Development didn’t start airing until 2003.
This pending hit song is a tribute to Pumpkin, a rough-and-tumble tabby who died of feline AIDS long ago, and is performed by puppets.
